Hi! I've been developing a locked down system for public usage via group
policy objects and I have everything nearly prefecto. Perfect except for one
little thing. When a user goes to save a document to either a thumb drive or
floppy, initially they will get a "This operation has been cancel due to
restrictions error" I full well know why its coming up - due to deny
permissions on the desktop folder so nothing can be saved to it, as well as
restrictions to the c: an thats exactly what I want. ~BUT~ what I'd like to
have happen is for the error window to just not pop up at all. Does anyone
know a reg hack or some other means to prevent this? Please advise and thanks
in advance!

I have never heard of such. Usually such messages will help reduce support
costs that could occur because the user has no idea what is going on and
they thing the OS is broke. They generally understand restriction or access
denied messages though they may not like it.
