I (trie to) use excel as a tool to convert customer data and export them to a new program. The worksheet contains data importet from a text file, witch in turn was exportet from an acconting program. My aim is to make a ; delimited file (dont know the english word for that sign). My problem is that I cant make the fields small enough when I save as sdv-file in excel. There are a lot of space after the text and before the ; sign in some fields, and the field then have to many characters to be imported in the new program. So I figure that I need a function that removes spaces before and after strings in every cell on the worksheet

Is this the right approche to the problem? What function can I use to resolve the problem

Thanks Ed, I finally got it. I cant reference a range of cells in the trim function, right? But I found the (obvious) solution. I used the fill handle, or what ever the english name is. Great help
