A PowerPoint show is just a regular PowerPoint PPT file with the extension
changed. Anyone who can download your file can edit it, unless it's password
protected.

If all of your users have PPT 2002 or higher, or use the free 2003 viewer, you
might try password proecting the presentation against modification but not
against opening.

Thanks Steve for all that info which is very useful

I did use a Powerpoint show which ive uploaded onto a website for viewing.
The right mouse menu is still enabled which is the main problem. I am not
really worried about security. I have seen other ppt shows where the right
mouse button menu does not activate, can i disable the right mouse button
menu on my show?

Try "Tools", "Options", "View" TAB. Unclick the "Show menu on right mouse
click".

Bill's mentioned the steps for disabling it, but I'm not sure it'll help.

This is an "application-level" setting. In other words, it applies to PowerPoint as
a whole, on the computer where you make the setting, not to specific presentations.
You can change the setting on your computer or any other computer that you have
physical control of, but you can't change it on remote computers.
