I need to completely remove (uninstall) and reinstall MSIE 6.1 and overwrite all files during re-installation, how do I do this

Hello,
I guess you mean IE6SP1. Why do you wnat to install? You can repair IE or
install it over itself. If you are looking for the full setup, you cna find
it at http://browsers.evolt.org/?ie/32bit or http://cws.internet.com/ie.html

Even using the second install (it comes from MS), it wont
let me install update it.
What do you suggest?
ie 6 is flaky. I am sure something simply got
corrupted. Cannot even install sp1 it says a newer
version is all ready installed. It is not.
Not counting locking up many times and not able to
hyperlink from Outlook anymore ("due to restrictions on
this computer").
How can I do a fresh clean re install?

First eliminate any scumware.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each need to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded.
