Remove Programs menu from Start Menu

Am in process of using GPO to lock down Win XP machines for Internet
usage only, all ok except wish to remove access to the Programs list
from the start Menu for all machines. Can GPO do this?

GP can do all this. Start Menu policies are under User
Configuration||Administrative Templates|Start Menu and Taskbar. Because
most of the settings are User polices - not computer - you will probably
need to use loopback processing. Checkout the kiosk section of the MS GP
