Remove Past Items From Customize Notification Area

I have quite a few icons in there for programs that have long-since been
uninstalled.
Can someone direct me to the registry location where such items are
recorded?
 
Thanks a million. This is immensly helpful. I had searched the hd and the
registry to no avail.
