Very frustrated

Installed - windows 2000 pro (SP4) - office XP (SP2)- both
are upgrades that go back to 1995/97 respectively. How
the dickens do I remove old programs since they don't
appear on add/remove program tool? I've searched for days
for answers. Problem is registry size exhausted and
hoping removing "junk" will help.

Any simple answers would let me sleep again.

Thanks in advance!

Try Start > Find > programs/files > and enter the programs
you are searching for. When done, highlight all and delete.
Second, I recently went into "Temp internet files" and
clicked on every file in this folder... found about 15k
files that had not been removed, including some old
programs.

.

Removing the file folders I don't believe removes them
from the registry which is where my problem lives.
Without uninstall execs, just removing the folders is like
knipping the top off a flower but the roots are still
there. Am I right?

Control Panel, System, Advanced, Performance Options, Change, increase
Maximum Registry Size and OK
