Hello.

I have a NIC from a previous MB still in the registry, and I get errors
about 2 NICs when editing network properties, in spite of there being only
"Local Area Connection 2" listed. The NIC doesn't show in Device Manager or
the add/remove HW list, but there are many places it appears in the
registry. Under 'Network' it is "Local Area Connection" and in the 'Net'
class listing it is device 0000.

Do I have to manually clean it out, or is there a safer way? Is there a tool
that lists all registry entries associated with a device?

If I manually clean it out, should I make the 'real' NIC class 0000?

Thanks,
nf

Does it show up in the device manager *under safe mode*?
