I finally installed a trial version of NOD32.

Is there any way to remove the NOD signature from the outgoing
emails?

Control Center/IMON/Setup/POP3/
Checked email adjustments/Append tag messages to email

Outgoing emails have a signature appended to them by the EMON module
and this is only used if you use Outlook. To disable this...

Go to EMON > Setup > Notifications > Uncheck the box 'Append to
outgoing mail'

This is for incoming mail only. IMON does NOT attach this notification
to outgoing mail. This option as mentioned in my reply to Louise is
only available via the Outlook module 'EMON'.

Thanks - found it.

Thank you, I read your other reply.
I have chosen for messages for infected (incoming) emails only.
As I removed IE and OE of my Win98se, I have no use for EMON.

Again, EMON is for Outlook, not Outlook Express and IMON cannot
append details to outgoign mail - but I understand what you mean.

I expected you would react on the Outlook vs. Outlook Express issue.
:D

As OE is by far more used than Outlook, one can wonder why Eset made a
seperate module for Outlook and not for Outlook Express.

Geared towards corporate use I imagine. The fact that EMON can be
configured also using NOD32 central management consolt. So for
sanitizing email and other options it is useful.

Thanks for the tip. I use OE and I had Emon enabled, what was it doing
if anything?

Chas.
