We have multiple conference rooms booked as resources. Some of the users mark
their meetings as private in order to prevent them from being edited by
others. This is causing serious problems. Is there a way to remove "Mark
meeting as private" functionality in Outlook.

We use Office 2003 with Exchange 2003 Enterprise.

Thanks.

It would appear that you use the "Direct Booking" method for your
resources. This leaves very few options. However, you could
set everyone for AUTHOR only. If they have AUTHOR
rights then they can only edit their own entries and not anyone
else's. Then Tell everyone to STOP marking it Private.

I have to add:

However, If you use Exchange Server I would suggest the use
of the AutoAccept Agent. We use this with great success.

Thanks. I have read the documentation for AAA and as nice as it is it would
not resolve our problem. Thanks for your help.
