Remove lost DC container from AD

I have a single domain forest with a Win2K server as parent on domain.com
and child DCs on sub1.domain.com, sub2..., sub3... but physically lost DC
on sub3. Having built a replacement, I tried to name it sub3 using a new IP
address but it kept failing to be accepted into the AD. For the sake of getting
it up and running, I created sub4 but sub3 still shows up in the 'lost & found'
sites container, and the parent [netlogon] continues to make requests to the
old IP address. How can I remove this redundant child from AD, I no longer
have sub3 or access to the original IP address. Opening Domains and Trusts
does not permit me to delete the trust relationship, from within Sites and
Services I can't delete it, nor can I delete it from the lost and found in Users
and Computers. Kinda got me stumped this one... Phil

Thanks Paul, I wasn't successful with this before and I think your second
comment probably explains why. The error messages in the log refer to
incorrect/unavailable SPN numbers. When I look at the _msdcs and other
entries in _sites, there are SRV records for all the servers plus some old
ones but the reference number is not the same as any of those which appear
in the log. How and where can I find the correct SPN of each server? All
the above is preventing my GC...
