remove "logitech" from registry

bent

computer takes 2 minutes to shutdown.

"Logitech" is supposed to be one of the reasons for slow
shutdown of XP.

Searched REGISTRY, find about a dozen entries for LOGITECH
cordless mouse.

Did uninstall of logitech mouse about 2 months ago, have
MICROSOFT wheel mouse installed and it shows up in the
Registry.

Tried to DELETE all entries of LOGITECH in Registry

Get popup on every Logitech entry ... ERROR DELETING
VALUES... UNABLE TO DELETE ALL SPECIFIED VALUES.

HOW can I delete LOGITECH from the Registry?

Thanks

I doubt that logitech registry entries have anything to do
with your slow shutdown times. Enabling things like "clear
pagefile on shutdown" in useless programs like TweakUI
will cause your system to take a long long time to shut
down as the system will overwrite the entire Pagefile with
0's before closing. Useless really as XP deletes and
recreates the pagfile automatically at shutdown and
bootup. It is more likely that you have set you HungApp
Timeout too high or AutoEndTasks or WaitToKillAppTimeout
or AutoEndTasks. All of these can be found in the registry
at HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop . Click on
desktop to highlight it and this will open the keys values
in the right panel . I have the first three set to 200 and
AutoEndTaks to 1. Need more help just e:mail me. My XP HE
shuts down in 7 seconds. Have fun.

Thanks Unknown... appreciate your advice.

I changed the settings to 200, AutoEndTaks was already at 1.

Timed the next 2 shutdowns... Took 2 seconds to SAVE
SETTINGS, and 1 1/2 ninutes showing WINDOWS IS SHUTTING
DOWN, before it shut off.

Any more suggestions?

Thanks
