I have a laptop with 2000 pro and linux and I want to
remove the linux boot loader. How can I do this with out
hurting the 2000 installation. I have read some posts on
other news groups and have not found a clear cut answer
that seems to work every time.
Red Hat 7.1 gurb boot loader windows 2000 pro on
Sony laptop.

Whether if it is LILO or GRUB, the method that I always use (for the
past 5 years) had always been to:

(1) Boot up using a bootable diskette. (Download from
http://www.bootdisk.com if you don't have one.

(2) At the command prompt, run the command "fdisk /mbr"

This had never failed me. Cheers!
