I am looking for a Registry Hack or Tweak so both when typing a URL or the
drop down URLs do not show previously visited sites. I found this hack a
long time ago and successfully applied it to my main comouter but I need to
also apply it to another one. I can no longer find the method. Does anyone
know how to do this?

Tools menu -> Internet options -> 'General' tab -> Clear history

Though this is probably the wrong answer - because it's easy, yet, no
one has answered it[?] hmmm.

Regards,
MRe

Thanks - but Much too simple - There is a way to PERMANENTLY do this so the
URLs aae never saved. That is what I am looking for.

Hi msnews :-)

You can set the history to 0 days but I believe that it still keeps a
running record for that session. Easiest way around it is 0 days and clear
history after using IE.

also..

Here are some forum threads on how to permanently disable the History. You
might check here to see if the Registry hacks referenced are what you are
looking for. Scroll down to this part
Disable the IE History folder: - here

and also check here:

and…

Under Use AutoComplete for, click to clear the Web Addresses check box, and
then click OK. Click the Advanced tab, click to clear the Use inline
AutoComplete check box in the Browsing section (if this check box has been
selected). Click OK

Hope this helps

Thank you SO much!

I couldn't even figure out how to ask the question about the drop down name
and e-mail choices. I knew it wasn't "auto fill", and I only wanted to remove
the ones which were incorrect. (I had so many misspelled ones that I had to
scroll quite a bit to get to the correct one!)

So you enabled me to clear and start fresh! Now I can click and choose 1 of
3 instead of 1 out of 20!

Cheers!
