I noticed that when i type my username to login to a website and when i go
back to the same login page. When i type out a letter it will show a list of
usernames that i have typed in before.

How do i stop IE from doing that? I remembered vividly that when i first
used IE, they prompted me a question asking me if i wanted to remember
usernames or something of this nature and clicked yes.

Is there anyway i can change it and decide that IE do not save previous
usernames that i have typed before.

Not sure if i made any sense, but hope someone has experienced this before.
Thanks

For individual form autocompletes, you will have to highlight (select it) in
the dropdown list and then press the "Delete" button.
Or...
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/217148/en-us
"How to use the AutoComplete feature in Internet Explorer 5 and 6".
1. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
2. Click the Content tab.
3. Click AutoComplete.
4. Click the appropriate AutoComplete check boxes, or click Clear Forms or
Clear Passwords to clear all saved items from the appropriate AutoComplete
history.
5. Click OK, and then click OK.

Also see if this helps:

"How to clear the History entries in Internet Explorer".
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/260897/en-us
"How to Delete the Contents of the Temporary Internet Files Folder".

See:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/229940/en-us
"How to disable Internet Explorer password caching".

From MVP Kelly: http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm:
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/regs_edits/autocompletedisable.reg
"AutoComplete Mode Enabled or Disabled"
"To use the Regedits: Save the REG File to your hard disk. Double click it
and answer yes to the import prompt. REG files can be viewed in Notepad by
right clicking on the file and selecting Edit.".

"Protected Storage PassView": http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/pspv.html
Useful to see what login data is being stored in autocomplete's cache.
You can view and delete individual Protected Storage username/password
combos.
