When I updated to XP I purhased another hardrive. Loaded XP on the new drive
and could boot either system. Now I won't to remove the Win98 hardrive
(don't use 98) and have additional storage.

When I remove the 98 drive, the XP won't boot. It has an error "Disk
Configuration Problem" can't find boot.ini path.

Any help would be appreciated !!

Thanks

.Your BIOS is still looking for your system
initialization info. on the HDD that WIN 98 was installed
on.

Your boot files are on the 98 drive without it the system does not know where to go to boot from.
You can repair from the Recovery Console when you boot of CD. Use help to get list of commands and
usage of the bootcfg command when using recovery console.
