remove domain policies

We recently disjoined a computer from the domain that was being relocated to
a personal residence. Even after the computer was no longer in the domain we
could not edit any of the policies previously enforced from the domain. All
of these entries remained grayed out in the Local Security Policies console.
Any help would be appreciated.
