Dear All,

As I was installing a child domain to my existing forest root domain, but
due to the change in the organization policy I had to remove the child
domain DC, but was not successfully able to do so.

So I reinstalled the same as an ADC to the existing forest root domain.

Now though the child domain doesnt exist, it still shows in the ADS of the
forest root domain and all the clients.

Kindly advise, how to remove a corrupt child domain from the forest root
domain.

Kind Regards,

Wilson Samuel

What's an ADC (not such term exists officially)?

Use NTDSUtil to remove the orphaned DC-objects and then the Domain-Object.

Just search Microsoft using Google for [ NTDSUtil "metadata cleanup"
site:microsoft.com ]
or wait until someone posts the direct links to the KB articles....
