When I want to remove DC from AD I get this error:
" the operation failed because:
Managing the network session with "server.domainname"
failed
"logon Failure: the target account name is incorrect"

Here is some facts:
1.I don't have any problems with logins in to domain
2.I don't have any problems to join workstations to the
domain, but I believe that I will have problems to join DC
to the domain.
3.I know that I do have problems with DNS server: When I
am running Netdiag I get that DNS test is Passed but there
is some comments about bad entries.
Ldap test is also Passed but I get " Failed to query SPN
registration on DC"
My questions are: How can I remove DC from the domain?
If I will remove DNS, will that resolve the problems?
What is the best way to remove and reinstall DNS?

Thanks
Eran

To remove DNS just go to add/remove programs and check and uncheck the box
for dns.
To remove a machine from active directory without doing a successful
dcpromo follow the instructions found in article.
