remove data source from pivot table?

I use pivot tables to create reports because it makes it easy to
update numbers on a regular basis, but the end reports don't actually
have to be pivot tables. I'm seeing that the files are getting rather
large, which makes it cumbersome to e-mail them. I would love it if
there was a way to just remove the data source and then having the
individual pivot tables turn into static reports. Is something like
this possible?

Hi

Just select the PT report>Copy>Paste Special>Values to another Sheet.
Just mail that sheet.

Hi,

Another option which might be useful in some cases is to save the pivot
table without the cache containing the data. You can do this by selecting
the pivot table and then choosing Pivot Table, Table Options, and uncheck the
Save data with table layout.

If the user still has access to the data source then can refresh the pivot
table and reload the cache. If not then they will see a pivot table which
they can't modify.
