can't select company logo in the master view to remove company logo. Can't
select in any view

I'm guessing that the logo is part of a background image. If the background
is solid, you can cover the logo by matching the background color.

It is probably a picture inserted on the background. Either remove the
background or insert another picture.

You could always extract the background using the tried and trusted
method and then edit in your favourite photo package.

See the other answers as well, but if this is in PPT 2007, the logo might be on
the slide master rather than on the specific slide's layout.

A master can have several layouts as its "children"; they show up below it in
master view on the left in the thumbnails pane.

Anything on the master will appear on all of the child layouts.

Anything on the layouts will appear on slides based on the layout. Including
stuff the layout inherited from its mamaMaster
