I have 3 pc's on a wireless network using a router - due to lack of knowledge
and experience I have created various network names and in truth made a mess
of things - my main problem is that I have a printer which I wish for all
pc's to use but I am having trouble getting this to happen - I have already
made the printer a shared printer.

My main question is how would I completely remove every network info from
every machine and them the best way of restating a fresh network onto them
again?

Many thanks

Hi
Just change the Network configuration to a uniform configuration.
All computer should be on the same Network and each one should have a unique
name.
Do not get upset if the Network is still :Quirky" after the change let it
sit for a while and after few reboots and usage it would settle with the
correct parameters.

Successful Sharing involves some general consideration in Network settings,

As well as specific adjustment of each computer according to what it is
allowed to be shared.

I am not sure exactly what you mean by network names but I assume you mean
wireless network names?? If so go to the properties of each wireless network
adapter and remove all the wireless network names you do not want and make
sure the one you want is at the top of the list. If you mean workgroup names
then make sure each computer has the same which requires a reboot if you
change and eventually the old workgroup names will disappear from My Network
Places though your would need to manually delete any shortcuts you created
and/or delete any shortcuts you see in the documents and
settings\username\nethood folder where username is thename of the user that
logs onto the computer..
