Remove an entry in Add/Remove programs

How can I remove an entry in the Add/Remove entry without uninstalling? I
have a program that has been updated but retain the older Add/Remove entry
as well as added the new entry.

You need to edit the registry, see
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall
