Hello! I have a movie clip that I view in Media Player that has sound on it.
I am trying to make a new clip of this exact movie but without any sound in
it. How can I go about this? Either within Media Player or if I have to
convert the movie to Movie Maker to make the adjusts, I am not picky. I
haven't used either one for this purpose before so I am at a loss.

Please advise.

Thanks,

Try the following steps...

Import the clip into Movie Maker....
(File / Import into Collections)

Drag it to the Timeline...

Right click the Audio Track and choose Mute...

Save as follows...

To save as a .wmv movie file...
Type...Ctrl+P to open the Save Movie Wizard /
Choose...My Computer /
Next /
Enter a Name and a Save Location /
Next / Next.
Wait while the movie is saved /
Finish...

Just to add to John's post, it needs to be a compatible file type, so dv-avi
or wmv for video or you'll run into trouble.
