I've got a number of foreign laptop users who are connecting to the
internet via our company proxy server. One of these users keeps
reporting that he cannot connect to any websites. I've checked his
proxy settings and they are all correct and IE Is setup just as it
should be so he shouldn't be having any problems. To resolve the
problem all I have to do is close IE and start it back up again, and
then it connects whereever he wants without a problem... he doesn't
even have to enter a password.
I'm therefore at a loss to explain what the problem is. He does
however have a load of toobars installed, the only one I recognise is
Yahoo.
So my question is, how do I restore IE back to a nice clean
installation without any third party apps to interfere with its
connections. The laptop has XP Pro installed.
TIA,
Colin
