I would like to donate my laptop to another individual who is need of a
computer. I want to wipe off all of the information and programs that i have
contributed. Is there a way to restore the computer to like new status?

I suggest formatting the drive and re-installing Windows. This will ensure
that all of your existing files and applications are cleaned off the
computer before handing your computer off.

Also,
Backup drivers for him.
Some computers have restore cds or
restore method.

I found out that my toshiba does indeed have a restore CD and in fact,
three. All I had to do was pop them in ...in order and it gave me the option
to restore the system and wipe off all data. Thanks all.
