removal of programs

When I go to the system admin - removal of software and
try to remove 'lycos" it locks the computer. I then did
a search for any files and folders containing lycos and
deleted all I found. When I went back to the "remove
software" "lycos" was still listed and if I try to remove
the program it still locks the computer. Can anyone tell
me whats going on?
 
Dear Mudflat...your best bet for completely removing a program is thr
your registry editor...if you send m e your email address I will sen
