The subject says it all.
I am running the beta 1 on Win2k Server and it detects
that there is an issue with IST.ISTbar and says that it is
removed, however, upon a reboot the antisypyware software
finds it again, and I remove it again, then when I reboot
it appears... you get the idea.

McCaffee av catches it and deletes it.

I hope that this gets fixed...

Yo:

As several folks in the know on this MSAS NG have pointed
out, this is a beta. Hopefully the Beta 2 or the final
version will do lots of things we all hope it will. The
IST:bar, About:blank, Altnet and CW and variants can be a
real challenge to remove.

Several posts seem to indicate that for an XP box running
in Safe Mode does remove some of these. Some MVPs still
recommend more than one program/approach at this time.

Just strated using antispywear after recommendation for a
very slow running computer. Found loads of junk including 2
virus, all seemed to delete but returned in use and after
re-boot. Eventually solved problem by turning off the
System Restore (XPHome) and running program in Safe Mode
after reboot. So far they have not returned.

Remove browser helper objects in Windows, Internet Explorer with Microsoft
AntiSpyware.
Boot into Safe Mode (F8) at Start Up;

Empty your temporary files AND your Temporary Internet Files C:\Documents

and Settings\Username\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files folder ;

Run the scan while in safe mode;

If you are running SP2, open IE--->Tools--->Manage Add-ons, and uncheck any

BHO's that you don't recognize.
