Removal of icons from search results

I have a Windows Vista in my Dell laptop.

A curious thing happened when I was looking for a movie file, for example,
*.mpeg in the search box in the c:/ drive. And it came up with icons of my
old mpeg videos that I deleted earlier. Even when you expand the icons to
see the picture of the video you can see it but deleting will give me a
message that says it's no long in that file location even though when I do
the search those old video files come up. How do I get rid of those video
files that are not there but the search result shows them?
 
This happens if the Indexing Catalog is not up to date. Rebuilding the Index should resolve the problem. See:
