Are we talking about the files that appear in the MRU (Most Recently Used)
list?
Just open other files that do exist, and the others will eventually fall off
the list.
If he's really adamant, and is comfortable mucking with the registry, he can
delete the MRUx entries from
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\n.n\Access\Settings, where n.n
is 8.0 for Access 97, 9.0 for Access 2000 and 10.0 for Access 2002 and 11.0
for Access 2003.
