Removable drive folder settings

Is there a way to make Windows XP (SP2) remember the folder settings on
a flash drive? It remembers my folder settings just fine on the C
drive, but on a removable flash drive. I've tried (I think) everything
within the "Folders" option in the control panel, with no luck.

Sorry, that should have read "... but NOT on a removable flash drive."
