Dear All,

Can anyone explain me how to access others PC (C Drive) on LAN.

I appreciate your accurate guidance.

Best regards,

A safe way is to use a Virtual Private Network (VPN)... See these pages for
help with that...

A "C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts" file based on my home network.
This is resident on both the OpenVPN server, all OpenVPN clients and all
desktops on my home LAN...

If the remote PCs are running XP Pro you could also use Remote Desktop...

http://theillustratednetwork.mvps.org/RemoteDesktop/RemoteDesktopSetupandTroubleshooting.html
http://theillustratednetwork.mvps.org/RemoteDesktop/Multiple_PC_RD.html

Note that I run Remote Desktop through an OpenVPN tunnel. That way I only
need to open one port on my firewall/router and can access any PC on the
LAN.

If the PCs are running XP Home look at UltraVNC as an alternative. Get the
UltraVNC server, client, encryption plug-in and XP video driver (for the
server PC only) from...

Dear Sooner,

Thank you very much for your instant reply but due to firewalls, I am
not able to download any of those links...is there any other way to
download these files even if the organisation has firewalls.

Your guidance will be as usual appreciated.

Best regards,

You need to talk to your network administrators about that issue...

Good luck...
