Remotely administering another computer

I'm using XP professional with no XP server. This is a network that connected
to internet with one IP address. So i want remotely control desktop of other
computers in the netwrk. we do not have any domain but workgroup/

My qustion is to ask if it can be possible and either it can work or not, i
wish anybody to put me through. I have tried many possibilities i thought of.
I connected to internet to do this, but i realised i have limited knowledge
to do this.

I will appreciate anybody to assist me.

sure, you can use Desktop Remote access the remote computer. assuming you have a router and firewall, you need to open the port 3389. this link may help,
