I installed a wireless land for my brother in his home. 3
pcs, 2 xp and 1 98. Since he calls me alot with questions
and how to's, what software products are recommended for
me to access his wireless LAN.

If your running XP (Pro or Home) you can use Remote Assistance (as the Expert) to help him (the
Novice) on his two XP boxes. Again, both ends of the connection must be running XP Pro or Home for
RA to work...

You could use VNC or NetMeeting Remote Desktop or Remote Admin (which I have not used) to
access/control a Win98 box remotely...

Get the VNC or Remote Admin software from...

For help with NetMeeting RDS look at this KB article. NetMeeting is built-in to XP and can not be
upgraded...

Note that the VNC data stream is *NOT* encrypted so that is a potential security problem if you use
if over the public internet. Some folks run VNC through VPN tunnels to get around that issue.
