Hi all,
No doubt this has come up before but I finally just found this newsgroup.
Problem: out of the blue...my computer does not recognise that the ATI
Remote Wonder/ remote control is attached to my system.
I get the error upon booting up to Win XP Pro: cannot run dll as an
app...the dll in question is the x10net.dll.
I uninstalled and reinstalled all drivers, MMC software, Catalyst drivers,
remote wonder four times, to the letter of the instructions. Even installed
everything into diffferent paths than the default ones thinking I could
bypass registry screwups, no luck.
When the Remote Wonder is uninstalled there is no error message, when it is
installed the remote doesn't work (although the tuner and everything else
does), but the system does not see the remote or the usb receiver.
I'm running Win XP, AIW 9700 pro, plenty of ram, proc speed, power supply,
etc.
Can't figure this one out......is there a clean uninstall with a list of
registry deletions you know of, or perhaps it's radio frequency interference
from wireless ntwrk or telephones?
Thanks in advance,
bam7512
