The process ATIRW.EXE is running on my Win XP Pro machine, Device
Manager reports no problems with the Remote Wonder or the Remote
Wonder controller. But no remote icon appears on the system tray and
pushing buttons on the remote has no effect at all.

There's a fix for it if you're comfortable using REGEDIT to edit your
Registry:

1) Uninstall Remote Wonder II software (may need to reboot).
2) Go to C:\windows\inf and search for all the oem###.inf that contain
the word "windriver".
3) Remove all the oem###.inf and oem###.pnf files.
4) Run REGEDIT and remove all entries that contains "windriver"
5) Remove windriver.* and x10*.* from C:\windows\system32 and
C:\windows\system32\driver.
6) Reboot
7) Re-install the remote wonder II software.
