My Remote Wonder came with the All In Wonder 9800 Pro I bought last year. I
never really used it before tonight and had some problems with it. I know
this is an RF rather than an IR device so I shouldn't have to point it in
any particular direction to make it work right? I found that if I pointed
it directly at my computer it doesn't work at all. I have to point at some
odd angle out of the room or against the wall to make it work.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is this normal or do I have a defective
unit? Yes, I changed the batteries.

Thanks,
Richard

shouldn't need to point it. as per install instructions, try to have the
reciever as FAR AWAY from the pc as possible. I myself pull mine straight
up and have it hanging off a clip/tack in the wall with a piece of
string.

I have this remote and don't have to point it in any particular direction at
all to get it to work.

Sorry I couldn't be more help

Actually, I got a hint from a message on a video webboard about interference
coming from power supplies (my receiver was plugged into a USB port just
under the power supply and the cord draped over the top of my computer case.
I unplugged the Remote Wonder receiver and plugged it into a USB port on the
front of the case and now it seems to work better (not perfect, but better).
Thanks for your input.

Richard
