I got the RWII in the mail today, but it came with no CD.

I can't find RWII drivers on their web site... it says to use the CD that came
with it... but mine didn't!!

How's everyone else installing their RWII?

They mean the cd that came with your aiw9600pro, not your rw2.
I thought that and put in the CD from the aiw9600Pro, but it had a choice for
remote wonder, not rw II.

Henry,

I recieved my RW II in the mail about four for five weeks ago. I too could
not find the driver online or on the AIW 9600 Pro CD. Tech support?(an
oximoron) stated it was on the cd. Whenver I tried to use the driver it was
for RW I not II. I checked the install inf file and still no lcuk. I tried
allowing XP Pro install the driver and I receive:

Error Number 0x80040702

Description: Failed to load dll: FindProc

Setup will now terminate.

In four weeks I can't say I am happy with the AIW support but I am not going
to buy a new video card yet. :(

I sent an e-mail to ATI tech "support" and got the computer generated responses,
which don't address the remote at all. Guess they're supposed to respond with
an e-mail from a real person.

Could the RWII drivers already be integrated into the current ATI software.
Have you tried using the RWII ?

Here you guys, not a lot of stuff to wade through and I bet you'll find the

Tod,

it does seems to be integrated somehow into the driver in the Remote
folder. However, the RW II will not work at all. The light comes on the new
receiver but nothing happens. :(

Found the answer there... thanks!

This board is what ATI's web site should be.

It's really a shame that ATI has such horrible support, because they really have
a great product.

They've automated their tech support, but they've done it in the wrong way. I
think they have the resources and know how to do tech support the right way,
they're just "delivering" it in the wrong way.

Got an answer today from ATI:
-------------------------------------

Regarding your issue:

The RW 2 does not come with a disk. You must use the disc that came with your
All In Wonder 9600 Pro. (AIW 9600 Pro DVD + MMC 8.5 CD) The number on the CD
will read 180-V01071-200. If you do not have this CD you can purchase it on our
online store or by calling the sales Dept at 877-284-7379.

Hi Henry

It appears there really are people working at ATI. I submitted my problem report to
ATI over 5 weeks ago, and no followup. I called the "$20/incident line, and someone
verified my email was "in the system". They promised to "put it back un the queue
aaain". What gives with the automated support? As long as I go to the trouble of
downloading the info gathering utility, running it, and wading through ATI's support
form, the least that ATI could do is actually respond to my email...

Download the Remote Wonder drivers from ATI. Install them. Then, if
prompted for the driver, use C:\Program Files\ATI
Multimedia\RemCtrl\drivers as your path. Under XP, you have to display
all drivers since the Remote Wonder II drivers aren't signed and don't
display by default.
