Remote Wonder 2 range

Hi,
I recently bought an ATI AIW 9600XT with the Remote Wonder 2.

My range of use is limited to about 10 feet, not close to the 60 feet
advertised.

I have put the transmitter on a hub, and then bought a 6 foot USB
extension cord,and it makes no difference where the transmitter is,
high, low, away from the computer, the range is still about 10 feet
only.

I need about 20 feet to work the mouse and media center from my living
room. Any suggestions?

PS Driver is latest 2.5, as are rest of ATI programs.

did you try a set of decent batteries for the remote? the ones that ship
with the remote are shite.
