I am considering installing the new SP-2 on my home computer that runs on
Windows Xp home. however, I use my home computer to access my office pc
(windows xp pro) using remote web workplace.

Will this install affect access to this feature? I can't afford to lose the
access from home. Call me overworked!!

Thanks for any input.

thanks for the feedback, Adam. I have added my company's remote workplace to
my trusted sites as you suggested.

But, to clarify...you wouldn't suggest d/l the sp2 just yet? why's that?
too new?

I have seen a lot of postings from people having issues with the install
and know from personal experiance that it required some tweaks on my
half to get it working correctly. My on-line banking was blocked with
all the new IE security also i had vpn connectivity issues. Also my
Virus software Symantec Corp 8.1 would not work, i had to upgrade to 9.
All minor issues.

I installed the RC 1 about 5 months ago which i then updated to the RC 2
and then used the auto updates to install the release of sp 2. Although
i have tested the RC's before installing them to make sure they are
compatable with the programs i use. Fortunatly 90% of the programs i
use are Microsoft products and seem to play nice. I think in a few
months Microsoft will have all their bugs worked out and it will play
nice with everything.

The best advise is really to make sure you backup your system before
installing any service pack.
