I developed a Access database and I want to share it with
remote users.
I used the security wizard to protect it, but when I send
the database plus the secured.mdw to a remote user, he can
not open the database.
Is there any way to do it?
Thanks for your help,
Jose Lopes

Did you include instruction on *how* to use the mdw file? Just having it on his disk
accomplishes nothing. He either needs to make it his default by "joining" it (not
recommended) or he must use a shortcut that specifies the secure MDW as a command
line argument.

Well, if the user does not place the workgroup file, and the database file
in the correct directory, the shortcut will not work...will it?

So, you will have to make sure the database is in the exact same directory
position as on your pc when you made the short cut.

Does the short cut work on your pc?

Jose, if you gave a bit more information on what you mean by "will not
work", the good folks here who are trying to help you, might have something
to go on!

What do you mean, it will not work? Does he get an error message? If so,
what is the message? Exactly what happens when he double-clicks the
shortcut?

It was not showing anything after he enter the password.
He was using access runtime instead of the normal access
version.
Now it is working.
Thanks for all your help.
I really appreciated.
