Remote user list seems to be ignored

When connecting remotely to an XP computer, it asks "To allow users to
connect remotely," as well as domain names for specific users to connect.
However, domain names specifically added to this list can connect fine. Why?

I am unsure if this is related to your Vista question - as it *does* seem to
follow the same pattern.

On Windows XP - any user in the "Administrators" group and/or in the "Remote
Desktop Users" group can connect to the system using remote desktop given
you have "Remote Desktop" set up, turned on, allowed through the
firewall(s), port forwarded through any routers and said user account has a
password.
