I am looking for a easy way to bring information from one computer to another
computer without having to copy and paste it which if its a big file it take
up to 35 min. plus i am trying to map a drive. I have my friends computer
that i log on to and i am trying to map her F drive to mines

The easiest way to bring information from one computer to another is to
network the computer and move or copy the file from one to the other or,
assuming you have a CD writer, burn the information to CD, then place the CD
in the other computer's drive and copy it to the hard drive.

I don't understand what you mean by if it's a big file can take up to 35
minutes, how are you attempting to perform this function now? Moving or
copying the file across the network, assuming the two are connected is the
way to do it.

As to the mapping, are the two computers networked together, you need to
network the two computers in order to map a drive.

If the above doesn't help, please take this question to the
windowsxp.network_web newsgroup.
