Is ther anything like pc anywhere built in to xp pro that
will allow me to access my files from my office at home

Go to Start | Help and Support and search for "Remote Desktop".

Or, open a command box and type "mstsc" and hit enter. This will launch the
Terminal Server client and allow you to connect to any other machine that
has remote connections enabled, and that you have permission to connect to.
