remote procedure call

I have a problem... a window pops up saying..
"REMOTE PROCEDURE CALL TERMINATED UNEXPECTADLY
then it shuts down after a one minute count down
I've ran a system check thru Norton.. it found virus: GAOBOT, and BLASTE
I ran the removal tools, and now it checks out clean, but I still get the "RPC" windo
What to do?
Also, how can I stop the shutdown, and/or allow tech help to view/diagnose this problem?

As well as removing the virus, you need the system patch from
Microsoft to block the vunerability as you can reinfected over the
internet again. See http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/.

See Services.msc and look for RPC and change the Recovery options back
to 'Take No Action' or 'Restart the Service'.
Enabling a Firewall will prevent future problems like this.
