Remote Procedure Call

I have just installed a copy of Windows Xp on a computer.
and for some reason when i am connected to the internet i
get an error message that reads a little like the
following;

Unexpected or Invalid Remote Procedure Call (RPC) this
system is shutting down. Please save and close all your
work as data may be lossed.

This shutdown was initiated by NT Authority\system


Could anybody help me with this problem please???

Looks like you may have the Blaster Virus. See:

And keep your windows updated with critical updtates and run realtime virus
protection using a currently updated antivirus program.
 
I reinstalled xp on the weekend and within 2 seconds of
being connected to he internet I had the Blaster virus. It
even damaged Nortons. So I scanned the drive to remove the
virus, installed the patches and then reinstalled nortons.
All fixed.
