Remote PC Operation

I have read some of the issues w/remote desktop and am trying to figure out
if I need to go w/GoToMyPC or similar program vs Windows RD.

I need to be able to connect to client PC's locally and out of town thru the
Internet to work with them to resolve issues related to Quickbooks and a
couple of other applications used by our firm.

If you had to weigh in on this, what would you recommend I do?

TeamViewer.

That way they download a small executable, run it and give you a total of 13
numbers and you are connected to them no matter their firewall situation,
router situation, etc.
