Remote OpenGL

I have an application which displays 3D graphics using OpenGL.
It works fine under Vista and every other Microsoft operating system.
It also works fine using Remote Desktop from Xp to Xp.

However, if I use remote desktop either from Vista to Vista or from Xp
to Vista, I get no OpenGL display.

Is this a known bug on Vista via remote desktop?

Thank you very much

Hi Jansim,

This is not a complete answer, but ... as a test, I ran an OpenGL app on one
Vista machine, and then opened a Remote Desktop machine from another Vista
machine. The OpenGL app was able to display correctly, in the Remote Desktop
Connection session. So, it seems that not all OpenGL is doomed to inevitable
fail, on RDP 6.0.

(the "OpenGL" app was the old X29 demo, from 3DLabs - a 3D animation of a US
X29 jet. It's a single EXE file).

However, searching on the Internet seems to show that many people are having
similar problems to you, using OpenGL with RDP on Vista. So, there does seem
to be some kind of potential pitfall. Maybe it depends on what kind of
graphics driver you have? I'm using Nvdia Forceware drivers.

Sorry I don't have more; hope this helsp a little bit anyway.
