Dear Sir or Madam
I am trying to connect to my new work desktop through a "remote network desktop". I have been told that I should be able to do so at home since I have a Windows XP operating system...But I have a Windows XP Home Edition. Can I still do so...How?! Help?!
Sincerely,
Wilbur A. Velarde

The Remote Desktop hosting feature is only available with Windows XP Pro.
You can only use Windows XP Home as a client and not a host.

Hi,

You can connect to your Work desktop via Remote Desktop, but you need to
install the client on your Home machine. As WinXP Home does not have this
feature (meaning you will not be able to connect to the Home system from
Work), you need to either install it from a WinXP Pro CD or download it from
here:

Check with your IT department for the correct IP addresses and to ensure
that they either open port 3389 for you in the company firewall, or tell you
which port to connect through.
