Hi,
I am trying to set up RIS with a third party NIC
adapter. I have went into the knowledge base and have
tried those solutions, but am still unable to get past
the "The operating system image that you selected does not
contain the necessary drivers for your network adapter."
If anyone has any ideas for this, or a solution that they
figured out past what was in the knowledge base, I would
be greatly appreciative. Thanks.

Phil,

Details please. What NIC are you trying to get to work
with RIS? To what MSKB Articles are you refering?

WIN2003 has several more NICs that are 'natively'
supported.

Also, have you looked in the Setup and Deployment News
Group as well. Oli and Scott have a ton of experience
with this and can surely point you in the right direction
or answer your question outright! But, we need some
details.

HTH,

Cary

Thanks, I'll try them in Setup and Deployment.

Phil,

Please do not misunderstand me. You are more than
welcome to post your question here. RIS is surely a part
of AD ( and one that I really enjoy ).

Please do post the details here and we will gladly help
you.

Ok,
I was wondering if you could give me the exact code that I
need to place in the ristndrd.sif file. I placed the
drivers for the NIC in the $oem$/$1/Drivers/NIC folder.
Also, this is the NIC that I will be booting from. It is
an Intel Pro 1000. Thanks again for your help.
